FAQ’s

Can Milwaukee Boots be resoled?

All of our boots except for the Lakefront are Goodyear Welted. This means that if your Milwaukee Boots are kept in good condition, they can be resoled by a trained shoe repair specialist for years to come. All you have to do is give them the occasional TLC they deserve.

How do I care for my boots?

No bells and whistles needed. We keep it simple, and recommend you do the same. To keep your boots in working order, polish and condition them every so often with a non-pigmented conditioner. We recommend Blackrock shoe polish, which we carry in-store at our Walker’s Point location.

Can my boots be waterproofed?

Our boots are handcrafted with oiled leather and treated with a water-repellant finish. While Milwaukee Boots are naturally water-resistant, they are not entirely waterproof as the seams are not sealed. If you want to waterproof them yourself, we recommend a clear waterproofing spray like Kiwi waterproofing spray. Just remember that even a clear spray will slightly darken the finish on your boots. We like to call that “added character.”

Do you carry wide or women’s sizes?

At this time, we do not carry wide or women’s sizes. We hope to grow our sizing options as we grow our brand.

Where are your boots made?

We handcraft our boots in our family-owned, third generation factories located in India. Because we own and operate our own factories, we have greater control over our process, quality of craft, and the work environment we create for our craftsmen. Every cut, stitch and finish is done by the hands of talented craftsmen in our footwear and accessory factories.

How are your boots so affordable? Who makes them?

All Milwaukee Boot craftspeople are paid a living wage that exceeds local standards. Full medical benefits and onsite childcare facilities are provided to all team members. Because we own and operate our factories, you’re paying for the boot and not the middleman bullshit you often find in other retailers.

My leather looks different than the photos!

This is completely normal. Due to the scale of our business and our handcrafted process, some color variation and marking in leather is to be expected.

What is your return policy?

We love our boots so much, that for 30 days after your purchase date, we’ll welcome them back, arms wide open.  Send an email to [email protected] for a custom pre-paid label. Returns must be free of damage or signs of use and in their original box.

Returns are shipped via UPS ground delivery to our warehouse in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Once we receive your return, a refund will be processed within 5 business days. We reserve all rights to refuse returns that do not meet our return policy.

Do you offer exchanges?

Because our boots are handcrafted in small batches, we have limited quantities of each style and size. We can’t promise the boot you want will still be here by the time we receive your return. If you purchased your original boots on sale, we’ll honor the sale price when you make your exchange purchase. Just contact us at [email protected] for your return label and a price adjustment.
